Visits Overview

What is a Visit?

A visit is a formal record of a guest or delivery person entering your home. It includes an entry and exit timestamp, visitor information, and a QR code for security verification.

Why visits matter:

  • Security knows who's in your home
  • You have a record of all entries and exits
  • Guests can be quickly checked in without delays at the gate
  • Emergency responders can access visitor information if needed

Depending on the nature of the visit, you can create different types:

Check-In Process

Security uses a 3-step check-in wizard when verifying a visitor:

  1. ID Verification - Photograph the guest's ID
  2. Vehicle Info - Photograph the license plate (if applicable)
  3. Review & Confirm - Review all details and confirm the check-in

After confirmation, the visit status changes to "In" and the security log is updated.

Your Visit History

All visits are recorded in your Visits tab. You can:

  • View all past visits with check-in/out times
  • See photos taken during check-in
  • View visitor names and entry details
  • Access the QR code again if needed
  • Cancel a visit if the guest isn't coming

Quick Tips

βœ… Do:

  • Create visits 1-2 hours before guests arrive for time to spread
  • Include guest's real name for security accuracy
  • Keep frequent visits updated if guest details change
  • Check your visit history regularly

❌ Don't:

  • Create fake visits (security takes this seriously)
  • Share your personal resident QR code with non-residents
  • Cancel and recreate visits frequently (create Frequent type instead)
