Your personal QR code is a quick way to enter the community when you don't have a guest visit created. Use it for yourself, family members, or as a backup entry method.
What is a Resident QR Code?β
Your resident QR code is a unique, permanent code assigned to your account. It identifies you specifically and allows quick check-in at the gate without creating a guest visit.

How to Find Your Resident QR Codeβ
Method 1: From Settings (Easiest)β
- Tap the Settings tab (bottom navigation)
- Tap your name at the top or look for the QR icon
- Your personal QR code is displayed
- It shows your name and resident status
Method 2: From Profileβ
- Go to Settings tab
- Tap "Personal Info" or "Home Info"
- Look for the QR code section
- Your resident QR code is displayed
How to Use Your Resident QRβ
Arriving at the Gateβ
- Open Luqa (or have it ready)
- Go to Settings and tap your name to show your QR code
- Show it to security at the gate
- Security scans your code
- Security completes the 3-step verification:
- Take a photo of your ID (if required)
- Take a photo of your vehicle plate (if applicable)
- Confirm and check you in
- You're checked in! Status shows you're home
With Family or Guestsβ
- Let family members see your QR code
- They can show it to security along with their ID
- Security checks them in under your resident code
- Useful for: Spouses, children, elderly relatives, live-in guests
Sharing Your Resident QR Codeβ
Safe Ways to Shareβ
β Do:
- Show it in person at the gate
- Share with family members who live with you
- Share with overnight guests or household members
- Print it and post at home (for family members)
- Screenshot it for family members' phones
β Don't:
- Share with unknown people
- Post it publicly on social media
- Give it to non-residents
- Allow access to people not approved by you
- Share with temporary visitors (create a guest visit instead)

Step-by-Step Entry Flowβ
Full Flow (First Time or Security Requirement)β
- At the gate: Show security your QR code
- Security scans your code
- System confirms it's your resident code
- Security takes ID photo (passport or ID card)
- Security takes vehicle license plate photo (if applicable)
- Security reviews and confirms
- Status changes to "In" in the system
- You're allowed to enter
Quick Entry (Routine)β
After first check-in, subsequent entries may be faster:
- Show resident QR code
- Security scans
- Quick visual confirmation
- Check-in recorded

The first time you use your resident code, security may request photos. After that, it may be faster.
Checking Outβ
When you leave the community:
- Inform security that you're leaving
- They'll check you out from the app
- Exit time is recorded
- Your status changes to "Out / Completed"
Remote Check-Outβ
- If you left without checking out, security can mark you as out later
- Check your visit history to confirm accurate times
Printing Your QR Codeβ
If you want a printed copy at home:
- Go to Settings β Your name
- Display your QR code
- Take a screenshot
- Print from your phone or computer
- Tape it by your front door or gate entry (optional)
- Family members can show the printed code to security

Privacy tip: Print and keep it at home only. Don't carry a printed copy around town.
Troubleshootingβ
"My QR code won't scan"β
- Make sure the code is fully visible on your screen
- Increase screen brightness
- Make sure the code is not rotated
- Try a fresh screenshot and reopen Luqa
"Security says I'm already checked in"β
- You might have been checked in earlier and not checked out
- Ask security to check you out from the previous entry
- Then request a new check-in
"I can't find my QR code"β
- Go to Settings
- Look at the top for your name and profile picture
- Tap on it
- Your resident QR code should appear
- If not visible, refresh the app or log out and back in
"I need to reset my QR code"β
- Your QR code is permanent and cannot be reset
- It's tied to your account
- If you think it's compromised, contact community admin
