Your Role in Luqa
Luqa has two distinct user roles, each with different capabilities. Your role determines what features and actions are available to you in the app.
π Resident Roleβ
You are a Resident if you live in the community as a homeowner or tenant.
What You Can Do:β

| Create Visits | Invite guests (one-time, delivery, or recurring) to your home |
| Share QR Codes | Generate QR codes for guests to show security at the gate |
| Resident Entry | Use your personal QR code to quickly enter the community |
| View Visit History | See all visits with check-in/out timestamps |
| Create Alerts | Report emergencies or suspicious activity to security |
| Track Alerts | Monitor the incident and security's response timeline |
| Verify Reports | Review and confirm the security incident report |
| Pay Billings | Submit proof of payment for utilities or community fees |
| Read Announcements | Stay updated on community news and events |
| Reserve Areas | Book common areas (pool, garden, etc.) for events |
| Manage Profile | Update your personal info and home details |
| Notifications | Customize what notifications you receive |

- Home - Access all app features via the Explore menu

π‘οΈ Security Guard Roleβ
You are a Security Guard if you work at the community entrance or patrol the property.
What You Can Do:β

| Scan QR Codes | Use your camera to scan guest and resident QR codes |
| Check-In Visitors | Complete a 3-step wizard (ID photo, plate, review) |
| Manage Visits | Track visitor entry and exit status |
| View Alerts | See all active security alerts in the community |
| Acknowledge Alerts | Confirm receipt of an emergency alert |
| Log Incident Events | Record what happened (arrived at unit, contacted police, etc.) |
| Submit Reports | File a post-incident report with resolution status |
| Call Residents | Reach residents directly from the app (phone number visible) |
| Manage Profile | Update your personal info |

How Do I Know My Role?β
Your role is assigned by your community administrator when your account is created. If you think your role is incorrect, contact your community administration office.
