Your Role in Luqa

Luqa has two distinct user roles, each with different capabilities. Your role determines what features and actions are available to you in the app.

πŸ”’ Resident Role​

You are a Resident if you live in the community as a homeowner or tenant.

What You Can Do:​

Track AlertsMonitor the incident and security's response timeline
Verify ReportsReview and confirm the security incident report
Pay BillingsSubmit proof of payment for utilities or community fees
Read AnnouncementsStay updated on community news and events
Reserve AreasBook common areas (pool, garden, etc.) for events
Manage ProfileUpdate your personal info and home details
NotificationsCustomize what notifications you receive

Primary Navigation (Bottom Tabs):​

  1. Home - Access all app features via the Explore menu
  2. Visits - View and manage your guest visits
  3. Settings - Profile, notifications, support, sign out

You are a Security Guard if you work at the community entrance or patrol the property.

What You Can Do:​

Check-In VisitorsComplete a 3-step wizard (ID photo, plate, review)
Manage VisitsTrack visitor entry and exit status
View AlertsSee all active security alerts in the community
Acknowledge AlertsConfirm receipt of an emergency alert
Log Incident EventsRecord what happened (arrived at unit, contacted police, etc.)
Submit ReportsFile a post-incident report with resolution status
Call ResidentsReach residents directly from the app (phone number visible)
Manage ProfileUpdate your personal info

How Do I Know My Role?​

Your role is assigned by your community administrator when your account is created. If you think your role is incorrect, contact your community administration office.

Feature Availability Icons​

Throughout this help center, you'll see icons indicating which role can access each feature:
