View Announcements
π₯ For: Residents and Security Team
This guide shows you how to browse, view, and manage your community announcements.
Accessing the Announcements Listβ
- Open the app on your device
- Go to the main menu and tap "Announcements"
- See the list of all community announcements
By default, you'll see all announcements in order from newest to oldest.
Understanding the Announcement Listβ
Each announcement in the list shows:
- Title - The subject of the announcement
- Priority badge - Color indicates urgency:
- π΄ Red = High (Urgent)
- π‘ Yellow = Medium (Important)
- π’ Green = Low (General info)
- Creator name - Who posted the announcement
- Date posted - When it was created
- Read indicator - Shows if you've already read it (for active announcements)
Filtering Announcementsβ
You can use filters to find specific announcements:
Available filters:

All Announcements
- View every announcement (default)
- Shows both active and inactive drafts

Unread
- See only announcements you haven't opened yet
- Great for catching up on new messages

Inactive
- View draft announcements not yet sent to residents
- Only visible to the security team
To filter:
- Tap the filter button at the top of the list
- Select the filter you want
- The list updates to show matching announcements
Viewing Announcement Detailsβ

Tap any announcement in the list

See the full content:
- Complete title
- Full description
- Priority level
- Creator information
- Posted date and time
- Creation timestamp

Tab options appear:
- π Details - The announcement content (always visible)
- ποΈ Read By - Who has read this announcement (only for active announcements)
Understanding Read Statusβ
When you tap on an active announcement (one that's been released to residents):
- If it's new to you: Your app automatically marks it as read
- Read By tab shows:
- List of residents who have opened the announcement
- When each person read it
- Progress percentage (how many residents have read it)
As a security team member, you can:
- See the exact names of residents who read it
- Check read timestamps
- Monitor whether important messages reached residents
Expanding Announcement Descriptionβ
If the announcement description is long:
- Tap "Read More" to see the full text
- Full description expands for easy reading
- Tap again to collapse if needed
Tips for Managing Announcementsβ
β Check regularly - New announcements may appear any time
β Mark as read - Opening an active announcement automatically marks it as read
β Use filters - Filter by "Unread" to catch announcements you've missed
β Note priority - High priority announcements need quick attention
β Share important info - If it's urgent, let others know about it
Troubleshootingβ
I can't see an announcement
- Make sure the announcement is Active (not still in draft)
- Check your filters - you may have filtered it out
- Refresh the list by pulling down
I'm not getting notifications
- Check your app notification settings
- Make sure notifications are enabled for Luqa
- Some announcements may not have notifications if not yet activated
The read status doesn't show
- The "Read By" tab only appears for active announcements
- Inactive (draft) announcements don't have read status yet
